Denise Braun

Denise Braun is an award-winning global expert in zero-waste and circular economy solutions for the built environment industry, with over 21 years of experience in sustainable buildings and environmental solutions. As the founder of All About Waste, she has spearheaded groundbreaking sustainability initiatives across various sectors, including commercial buildings, sports arenas, data centers, distribution centers, and bio-tech campuses. Her portfolio includes the World Cup stadiums in Brazil, Google workplaces and data centers worldwide, Mastercard, Citibank, Apple and Adobe offices, Meta data centers, San Francisco International Airport and other governmental projects across the globe.
Fluent in English, Spanish, German, and Portuguese, Denise was born and raised in Brazil, and she effectively engages with diverse communities in North America. She specializes in developing, analyzing, and implementing technical waste management solutions, having conducted waste audits for over 30 million square feet of commercial office space. Her leadership has driven the development of Solid Waste Management Plans, leading to the successful implementation of Zero Waste policies and procedures across various building operations.
Denise’s contributions to the industry are extensive, as she has successfully led the certification of over 217 LEED, TRUE, and WELL projects, many of which achieved the highest certification levels. She has been responsible for pre-certifying and certifying over 70 million square feet of projects, underscoring her significant impact on sustainability in the built environment. Currently, she leads the TRUE Zero Waste certification efforts for commercial buildings and construction sites around the world.
Recognized as both a thought leader and technical expert, Denise serves as a voluntary technical member for the TRUE and LEED Materials and Resources Technical Advisory Groups. She is also a formal board member of the USGBC-California Chapter and the LA Metro Sustainability Council. Denise has volunteered for numerous institutions, including the South Bay Environmental Services Center, food banks, community gardens, and the Living Building Challenge Los Angeles Chapter. She has presented at major sustainability conferences such as the GreenBuild Conference & Expo (three times), The California Green Building Conference, ULI conferences, and various educational presentations globally.
Denise holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Education from Universidade Paulista in São Paulo, Brazil, and additional certifications in Global Sustainability, Waste Management, and Sustainable Supply Chain from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Cody Ryan
Co-Founder & Director of Waste Audits

Cody is the Co-Founder and Director of Waste Audits at All About Waste. He brings over 25 years of expertise in supply chain, logistics, and B2B to his role at All About Waste. Since the inception of the company, Cody has played a pivotal role, leveraging his experience to conduct waste audits for projects spanning over 30 million square feet across the United States. He is renowned for his pioneering work in developing methodologies for waste data collection and analysis tailored to studios and multi-tenant commercial buildings, encompassing various phases such as staging, shooting, and striking.
As a TRUE Advisor, Cody is committed to driving sustainable waste management practices and holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business from California State University of Long Beach.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Cody is deeply passionate about marine conservation and ocean-related activities, including being an avid surfer.
Emily DeCremer
Senior Project Manager
TRUE Advisor, SRM Professional
Emily brings over 18 years of expertise in sustainable resource management and zero waste to her role. Previously serving as the Certification Program Manager of TRUE, a zero waste certification program at USGBC/GBCI, Emily played a pivotal role in the program's development and expansion. During her tenure, she collaborated with numerous Fortune 500 companies, sports venues, nonprofits, event organizers, and government agencies on zero waste initiatives. She continues to support the TRUE program at GBCI as a contracted certification reviewer, having assessed over 100 facility, event, and construction projects across various sectors and countries.
As a Senior Project Manager at All About Waste, Emily has applied her extensive experience to develop zero waste strategies and oversee TRUE certification for diverse projects, including commercial buildings, multi-tenant sites, and government facilities.
Emily's commitment to sustainability extends beyond her professional endeavors. She serves as an environmental studies instructor at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, CA, where she imparts her knowledge and passion for sustainable practices to students.
In her leisure time, Emily finds solace in nature, goes to theme parks, and enjoys the company of her two dogs, Molly and Millie.
Lucas Allen
Project Manager
TRUE Advisor, LEED AP BD+C, Fitwel Ambassador
Lucas is born, raised, and resides in Los Angeles, and brings over seven (7) years of experience in the solid waste management and green building industries. As a LEED AP BD+C, TRUE Advisor, and Fitwel Ambassador, he leverages this broad background to drive holistic changes and lead his projects to achieve their sustainability goals. Lucas is particularly passionate and dedicated to finding practical and creative ways to reduce or design out waste sources.
In his role as a Project Manager/Sustainability Consultant for All About Waste, Mr. Allen has worked on a variety of projects for prominent private entities including Google, Adobe, State Farm, Mattress Firm, Hudson Pacific Properties, Tishman Speyer, Westfield, SOM, Kilroy Realty, and more. He provides smart solutions to mitigate human impacts on the planet, harnessing the potential of green building practices.
Lucas's experience spans large construction projects such as malls and commercial offices, as well as smaller scale projects like commercial office interiors and schools. He has analyzed waste stream production in commercial office buildings and developed waste management strategies for over 17 million square feet of facilities to reduce waste impact. Additionally, he has contributed to the project management of various LEED and WELL global portfolios, ensuring that project teams meet or exceed their desired sustainability goals.
In his leisure time, Lucas enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, rowing, and embracing the outdoors. Whether it's at the beach or on the trails, he believes in the importance of experiencing nature and encourages others to do the same.
Nicole Seyle
Project Manager
Nicole Seyle has been involved with resource management and recycling for 5 years. She was a project manager for one of the franchise haulers of the City of Los Angeles’ RecyLA program, as well as other franchise districts for LA County. She has experience leading zero waste teams, implementing recycling programs and spearheading food recovery for businesses throughout Los Angeles.
In her spare time Nicole is an avid surfer, water woman and all around ocean lover. She has a BA in Spanish from The College of Charleston, a certificate in Recycling & Resource Management from Santa Monica College and is a TRUE Zero Waste Advisor.
Isabelle Farah
Assistant Project Manager
Isabelle Farah graduated from the University of Miami in May 2023 with a BA in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Creative Advertising. Her experience as a Research Analyst at NBCUniversal Telemundo equipped her with strong analytical skills, translating complex data into actionable insights. Isabelle has immersed herself in the sustainability space, earning certifications in ‘Introduction to Zero Waste’ from Zero Waste USA and ‘Sustainable Packaging in a Circular Economy’ from Tu Delft University. She is also actively involved in supporting her city as they craft a 40-year solid waste management plan, serving as a board member on the Zero Waste Broward Task Force. Creative and entrepreneurial by nature, she also has a background in graphic design and videography, enabling her to bring a well-rounded skill set to every project.
Shane Coopersmith
Project Manager
Shane Coopersmith is passionate about sustainable environmental practices, blending his expertise in education with a deep commitment to circularity and carbon roadmapping. He began his career as an AP Environmental Science teacher, driven by a desire to inspire tomorrow's climate leaders. Now, with a degree in Sustainable Environmental Design from UC Berkeley and a master’s in education, he’s making an impact in the private sector at All About Waste, where he works to influence change among today’s climate leaders through innovative zero waste solutions. Off the clock, Shane is an avid urban homesteader—raising chickens, rabbits, managing vermicompost, and optimizing drip irrigation—and he loves jamming on the guitar, piano, and percussion.
